Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), the U.S.-based global technology leader, will present its vision for 21st-century security solutions at Dubai Airshow 2021, focusing on network-centric technologies.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, and prime minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai, this year’s airshow will run from Nov. 14 to 18 near Dubai World Central with more than 160 aircraft on display, over 1,200 exhibitors, and 20+ country pavilions coming together to explore the latest international trends in the aerospace and defense industry.
In addition to showcasing the world’s most advanced defense platforms, Lockheed Martin will present advanced network-based capabilities to counter evolving security threats across all domains – land, air, sea, cyber, and space. The company will showcase how Multi-Domain Operations or Joint All-Domain Operations (MDO/JADO) can synchronize major systems such as aircraft, ships, ground vehicles, satellites, and missile defense systems to improve situational awareness and accelerate decision-making in the field.
“The Dubai Airshow presents a great opportunity to meet with our customers and industry colleagues from around the world and is even more anticipated this year because of the disruptions brought on by the pandemic,” said Robert (Bob) S. Harward, chief executive for Lockheed Martin in the Middle East. “We are ready to showcase some of our most innovative capabilities and look forward to engaging with our partners to discuss their priorities and how we can advance national security and human capital development agendas.”
Lockheed Martin is also a Gold Sponsor of Dubai International Air Chiefs’ Conference (DIACC) 2021, Dubai Airshow’s official conference. This year’s theme, ‘Beyond Joint: The Expanding Role of Air, Space, and Cyberspace in Multi-Domain Operations’, aligns well with the company’s priorities. Hosted by the UAE Ministry of Defense and UAE Air Force and Air Defense, the event will take place on Nov. 13 at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Lockheed Martin has been a committed partner to the Middle East for more than 55 years and is a leader in the region, building sovereign capabilities through industrial partnership and human capital development initiatives in the UAE and beyond. In addition to advanced technologies, Lockheed Martin will showcase AI projects that UAE students have been developing at the Center for Innovation and Security Solutions (CISS) in Abu Dhabi, as part of ongoing efforts to build a strong talent pipeline as the most important element for the defense industry’s future.
