Through its balanced policies and since its foundation in 1971, the United Arab Emirates has succeeded in delivering a clear message that it works hard towards establishing the principle of Peace and Development for societies far away from the destructive military conflicts, as it is barely a decade passes without an outbreak of war.
We have not chosen the geography, but we succeeded in establishing a principle to guide the region by building a state that within few years has managed to realize ongoing great achievements, no month passes without new surprising achievement from space missions to launching Hope Probe to Mars, and launch of the world’s largest solar power plant for clean energy from Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.
It is apparent, how people with their different religions and ethnicities live in this country, which has become a destination for investment and living, with the well-established security and strong relations with the different countries across the world, preventing any threat that could damage its capabilities, which in fact needs a strong military arsenal that prevents the aggressors. Therefore, the United Arab Emirates requested purchase of modern and well-known aircrafts including 50 aircrafts 50 F-35, F-35 Lighting II and 18 drones, air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles among many other defense systems.
Just seeking to maintain its own security and to contribute to maintaining the international security. Since its foundation the United Arab Emirates has been actively involved in the peacekeeping operations within the international initiatives. In 1976, the UAE has been part of the Arab Deterrent Force in Lebanon to prevent the civil war and maintain peace. In 1993 and after liberation of Kuwait in 1993, the UAE sent a battalion to Somalia, and to Bosnia a year later. In 1999 the UAE set up a camp to accommodate thousands of Kosovo refugees displaced by war in Cox Camp in Albania, and 2003 in Afghanistan. In 2014, the UAE joined the International Coalition against the terrorist organization “ISIS”, and actively participated in the military operations against its followers.
The history of the United Arab Emirates has never witnessed military involvements outside the international cover and international coalition, while it is located in a troubled region full of informal militias and various terrorist groups, vain countries with global ambitions.
However, all the propaganda and fake news spreading over the media, as well as the political bickering, is just distant games that try to weaken the region or dragging into conflicts over each and every issue. Even so, the bright reputation and fragrant march of the United Arab shall remain clear and unhidden.
